Ontario Security Guard: Beyond the Basics

This course does not currently provide a TCN. We are actively working through the Ministry training provider approval process for this course. If you still need a TCN to write the provincial licensing exam, you will need to obtain it through an already approved provider. In the meantime, this course was built to go beyond the minimum requirements, making it valuable whether you are preparing to retake the exam, building confidence before you register, or strengthening your knowledge after you have already started working.

This course is for you if:
- You have your TCN but don't feel ready for the exam
- You took the exam but didn't pass
- You got your licence but still don't feel job-ready
About This Course
Most security guard courses give you the minimum you need to pass. This one gives you the understanding you need to actually do the job.
The course follows the same curriculum required by the Ministry of the Attorney General; so everything you were supposed to learn in your mandatory training, you will find here. The difference is how it is taught.
The material is delivered through multiple formats designed for different learning styles. Every section includes pre-reading, reflective journaling, video lessons with real-world scenarios and think moments drawn from actual security work, and quizzes that track your progress. You cannot skip ahead, each section unlocks after you complete the one before it.
By the end of this course you will not just recognize the right answer on an exam. You will understand why it is the right answer and what to do when you are standing in front of that situation in real life.
We built this course for a specific reason. A lot of people take the mandatory training, get their TCN, and still walk away feeling like they did not actually learn enough. Some are not ready to register for the exam. Some have already taken it and need to try again.
